Addressing key themes from Dr. Lance Bunt's presentation, participants discussed balancing technology with educational goals and creating flexible, personalised learning environments.

At NWU’s 2024 Teaching & Learning Conference, Dr. Lance Bunt highlighted the significance of flexible, student-centred teaching. He explored the role of technology and personalised approaches in fostering engagement and real-world problem-solving. His thought-provoking talk emphasised meeting students where they are, acknowledging their personal life experiences.

CHEPD - Critical Conversation Series
On 14 August 2024, I presented for CHEPD, discussing how academia can better serve contemporary students. I focused on making education more student-centric, using game-based learning to build resilience, and shared strategies for teaching large online classes, all while emphasising the need to connect learning with real-world challenges.

Prosper Roadshow
From July 22 to 26, 2024, Lance and Byron Bunt conducted a roadshow across Mahikeng, Vanderbijlpark, and Potchefstroom, introducing their educational card game, Prosper, to over twenty schools. The game, which integrates the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, was showcased for its potential in enhancing social science education and fostering critical thinking among students aged 10 to 22.

Optentia - AI Symposium
At the Technology, Humanity, and the Ethical Compass symposium, Dr. Lance Bunt presented on the concept of “techtures”—the digital tools and platforms shaping modern workspaces. He explored the impact of technology clusters on professional development, collaboration, and innovation while advocating for ethical, human-centric design. His insightful talk stressed the importance of aligning technological tools with individual competencies to enhance both productivity and worker well-being.
