NWU students shine in 48-hour Arcademia Game Jam

North-West University students showcased their creativity and coding skills in the 48-hour Arcademia Global Game Jam, hosted in partnership with the University of Lincoln. Centred on the theme Echoes Across the Arcade, the event challenged students to reflect on the past through gameplay. Teams from both universities submitted fifteen original games, with IP Conflict by NWU students taking first place for its polished mechanics. Notably, this event marked a first for many in game development, inspiring a wave of enthusiasm and cross-continental collaboration. Arcademia continues to evolve as a vibrant platform for learning, innovation, and global engagement.
