The North-West University (NWU) has partnered with the University of Lincoln (UK) to introduce Arcademia — a pioneering game-based learning initiative — to South Africa. Rooted in creativity and collaboration, Arcademia transforms learning through student-made games showcased on custom arcade machines. By 2025, NWU will install cabinets across all campuses, fostering interdisciplinary engagement and real-world digital skills. Backed by the Mobility Initiative and CTL, the project champions inclusive, tech-driven education and international academic exchange.
