Greetings weary Internet traveller.

My name is Lance Bunt, and this is my personal self-marketing space.

I am a 30-something graphic designer, illustrator, lecturer and researcher looking for inspiration and things to learn around every corner. I hold a BA Hons degree in Communication Studies (completed in 2014) and also have an MSc in Computer Science and Information Systems (completed in 2019). My PhD in Information Technlogy was completed in 2023.

I am employed at the university at which I studied – The North-West University, Vanderbijlpark Campus. My earliest position was a member of support staff for Academic Development and Support (ADS) was one of learning, in which I fulfilled the role of an e-learning developer and designer. I am now a lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems, where I have lectured communication skills and philosophy modules for 5 years.

Design is my passion, keeping my head tentatively on my shoulders when the struggles of daily living and work seem to be too much to bear. Whether it is desktop publishing, web design, game art direction, graphic design, digital media publishing or any other creative, artistic endeavour, I jump headfirst into any and all projects I undertake.

I understand that my chosen field and profession is competitive and difficult to break into, yet I am convinced that my creative approach and “eye for design” will inspire and astound any client seeking to make a sacred covenant with me (I promise it is not that dark and foreboding - I used the term to keep with the flavour of this site).

Although relatively young – with much to still learn and do – I someday hope to leave my mark on the academic, illustration, research and/or graphic design community. Inherently South African, my unique vantage point to the world allows me to soak up everything ‘aesthetic’, leaving me with skills and an outlook waiting to be shown to a global audience.
